Ustad Hossein Arman – Sar e Laban
Although he is not credited on the label, we can not be mistaken about the identity of the performer of the two songs on this single. Indeed, it is surprising how much the voice of Hossein Arman at the time of his early career was almost identical to the one he had on his most recent recordings. Ustad Mohammad Hussein Arman is here accompanied by a very lively accordion which gives a very musette energy to this ep.

This record was previously published on the Soviet label in 1959 before being released in Iran in this more modern format during the 1960s.
On the B side, we find a song that became very popular later thanks to the late Ahmad Zahir.
Ustad Hossein Arman – Ey Bot e Bi Rahm
We notice some spelling mistakes and once again, the only credit appearing on the label of this record is “افغانی/Afghani”, as it is the case on many vinyls or cassettes of Afghan music published in Iran. Obviously, that does not detract from the quality of the music.
