استاد ناشناس / Ustad Nashenas – 45 rpm on Royal Label / رویال

“استاد ناشناس “تنها خوشماستاد ناشناس

This beautiful 45 rpm by Sadeq Fetrat, more famous under the nickname of Nashenas, was released in Iran, probably during the 60’s. Recently, a dead stock of multiple copies of this 45 rpm was found somewhere in Pakistan and arrived in our hands via different ways.

It contains a song in Dari (Tanha Khosham) and one in Pashtu (Rashe Jananeh ze ma). This last one is interesting as it is one of the many Afghan songs to have been sung later by Iranian singers. In this case, this is the famous Madam Pouran who released it via a 45 rpm in Iran , with Persian lyrics this time but with almost the same orchestration.

The Royal label in Iran has released at least fifteen of these 45 rpm by Ustad Nashenas. A list of them is available in the back cover of this ep. However, the 45 rpm that we are listening today is not included in this list and was probably released a little bit later according the catalog numbers.
